After an unknown amount of time, the number of sobs gradually decreased. I could feel Ling’er’s strength leaving her as she gradually fell asleep. I sighed before I looked up into the sky. Are we going to sleep here like this?
Continue reading “SPA Chapter 107”The spear drew nearer and nearer to her heart as if it was the arrow released from cupid’s bow. I screamed in my mind for her to move out of the way, I wanted to howl back that I love her, yet silence was all I was capable of.
At the moment that I thought my mind was going to shatter, thick vines reached out to impede the spear’s path. Hope grew once more inside me; however, it was quickly extinguished as the spear drilled right through the vines as if they were made of paper. No matter how much vines there were, it could not prevent the inevitable. The spear dictated that someone had to die.
The three of us looked up at the fly in the sky. He had already teleported much closer as if he wanted to grab me, but had no choice but to retreat due to large vines sweeping his spot while a multitude of green spores attempted to cling onto his body. Although he managed to sweep off the most of spores in time, some of them had already turned red as if they had sufficiently sucked away at his blood.

The still, dark forest around us was like a giant cage of trees, intending to trap us in forever. Looking up, I can no longer see the sky as the trees seemed to completely enclose the forest. I turned around and noticed that the entrance that we came through had some point closed up, replaced by a seemingly endless forest of trees. I my heart jumped as I told myself it’s just an illusion.

After hearing Ling’er’s voice, the corpse-like lady seemed to have regained her life as she wearily opened her eyes, before a smile formed on her bloody face.

Oh right, probably because I’m dead. But isn’t these lines too cliche? I mean who says that the dead can’t feel anything? For one thing, I can feel something crushing my chest right now, except that something was so soft that I did not want to shove it away. Oh! I can even smell a familiar, heartwarming fragrance drifting into my nose.

Although the other generals in the targeted kingdom attempted to hold off the invaders, it was futile without the deterrence of their great general. No matter how watertight the defenses were, it was eventually broken through and war devastated the lands once more. Although the many suppressed kingdom’s target were the same, they were unfortunately a pile of loose sand. Unless there was a super power to suppress them, even if their targeted kingdom were to fall, war would still continue to spread through the lands.

There are a multitude of civilizations yet to be discovered while many other civilizations rise and fall. It seems the civilizations are well into the age of bronze and the rise of civilizations continue to snowball as conflicts occurred between civilizations once their kingdom borders meet. The warring states period has merely begun for this continent, and head on clashes in war are the least of many people’s worries. Schemes, internal conflicts, and even mysterious powers lurk in the shadows.
