Go anecdote points hunting on Dream Island!— Steve
Looking for a hidden tale guide? One of the 12 hidden world anecdotes? Well, you are at the right place! Steve chanced upon a gold medal hidden anecdote called the Dream Island!
Although Steve is unsure if you must have a certain amount of points in certain personalities to trigger this quest, Steve has most of Steve’s point in healing. Do note that this quest spans multiple days (as you will have to wait for reset). Also do note that this anecdote may have explicit foul language in its dialogue. To trigger this quest, head to the area behind the car park and the metro station (near coordinates 270,290) past 2 am. You should be able to find an interaction symbol popping up near the spot. Choose to interact in order to look around and trigger the quest (if you exit before going through EVA dialogue that pops up, it will bug out and possibly get you stuck in quest, simply relog to get dialogue).
Afterwards, go interact with the unconscious women on the ground nearby. Text should pop up saying that a familiar blond hair man is running nearby after which McHale will show up. Talk to McHale and go through the dialogue.
You will then get an item called Wendy’s Belongings. Use the item to get an Identity Card and Wendy’s Notebook. Use the Identity Card to be teleported into a party house look-alike.
Talk to the MC NPC (with quest mark) and go through the dialogue. Then talk to your teammate Hatoyama nearby and go through the dialogue.
You will then be teleported into a (Paradisio look-alike?) area with a TV (that you can interact with) on the ground and the NPC Kennichi Matsuo nearby. Talk to Kennichi Matsuo and go through the dialogue.
Then, wait for the notification for the game to start (if there are none, tap the quest in the quest log). Then, head over to the right door and interact with it to go to the examination room (left door back to main venue). You will be teleported into a light (Paradisio) dungeon look-alike.
Talk to Sachiko Kobeyahama (with quest mark) nearby and go through the dialogue. You can then choose to inspect or pass on Sachiko. It doesn’t matter what you choose (because she will have no item on her), Sachiko will give you clues when you talk to her again. Afterwards, head to the door nearby and interact with it to go back to the preparation room.
Talk to Kennichi again and go through the dialogue. Watch him run off and fail the game. Then, talk to him again when he reappears nearby. Then watch him fail again before talking to him (if you can’t, relog game). Then, head over and interact with the TV. Then, talk to Kennichi (with a quest mark) again (make sure you get “see you in two days then” dialogue). Note that this part may have many variations depending on how badly game bugs out.
Now head to Tokyo Tower and out onto the terrace area. Head to the left to find McHale (with quest mark). Talk to McHale and go through the dialogue.
McHale will then run back inside. You will find McHale by some benches (near the coordinates 30,65) on the side where the Police NPC is standing. You will have to wait until reset to talk to McHale (with a quest mark).
Go through the dialogue and interact with the investigation report on the bench. Then, talk to McHale and go through the dialogue. Then, talk to McHale again and choose the person you suspect between Kennichi and Sachiko. Afterwards, Kennichi will pop up in the communication interface.
Go through the dialogue (and talk to McHale again if you chose Kennichi) and then head over to the holographic projection of the city near the coordinates 35,50 to find Kennichi (with a quest mark). Talk to Kennichi and go through the dialogue.
Then, head back outside to the terrace to find McHale (same spot as before with quest mark). Talk to McHale and go through the dialogue.
After the next reset, head back to the venue by using the Identity Card. McHale should pop up in the communication interface (if McHale doesn’t show up, you won’t be able to re-enter the prep room as you can only re-enter after 2 days). After going through the dialogue, talk to the MC to go to the examination room where you will find Sachiko (with a quest mark).
Talk to Sachiko and go through the dialogue. Then, head back to the preparation room using the door. Talk to Kennichi (with a quest mark), go through the dialogue, and talk to him again. You will get to choose between two dialogue option (Steve did not really see how they affect the story). Regardless of your choice, McHale will pop up to tell you to meet him in Tokyo for breaking news.
Talk to Kennichi nearby (with a quest mark). Then head to the coordinates 300,530 (near the Tokyo Estate agent) to find McHale (with a quest mark). Talk to McHale and go through the dialogue. Then, an interaction symbol should pop up. Choose to interact to watch the video.
Talk to McHale again after watching the video (pop-up interface dialogue). Talk to McHale again to get dialogue choice. Choosing “brother with a shady past” will put the blame on Kennichi while “vengeful sister” will put the blame on Sachiko (however this will not affect the real culprit being found). Keep talking to McHale and go through all the dialogue. Then, you can use the white door nearby to go back to the venue.
Talk to the MC and go through the dialogue until you are brought back into the preparation room. Talk to Kennichi and go through the dialogue. Then, use the right door to go to the examination room. Talk to Sachiko and go through the dialogue after which the MC will pop up with even more dialogue.
Then, use the Identity Card (or use the door to go back to preparation room followed by using the left door) to go back to the main venue. Now, talk to the MC (with a quest mark) and go through all the dialogue. Then, talk to Sachiko (with a quest mark) and go through the dialogue. Then, talk to her again to make a choice to spare or punish Kennichi (either choice will end up with Kennichi being punished). Then, talk to the MC again and go through the dialogue to complete the anecdote.
This anecdote was fairly long and you deserve your gold medal if you arduously completed it. Completing this anecdote will grant you rewards that include but are not limited to 10 anecdote points, a gold anecdote medal, and the title Most Familiar Stranger.
